Congratulations to the Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) for receiving first place honors with their Healthier Living Alumni Online Community from the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a).

DAAS partnered with the National Council on Aging (NCOA) to develop an online community to support graduates of the Chronic Disease Self-Management program, an evidence-based health education program developed by Stanford University. There has been 510 active members since spring 2014 and at least 65% reported that the community has helped them maintain or improve their mental and physical well-being.
