In this workshop series, learners with little or no computer skills will be introduced to the basics of how to use the computer, the mouse, opening programs, and navigating the internet. All students will register for an email account and learn how to send and receive emails.  Available
Community Connector Training

1 class, 6 hours plus follow-up support

This workshop is for individuals who want to create neighborhoods where individuals can age in their own community. It will be both practical and inspirational, exploring the connection between hospitality and social networks, the basic elements of strong social networks, how network analysis can help make durable community connections, and the role of Tyze and other on-line social media in promoting contribution and inclusion. Growing Community Through Timebanks 4 sessions, 1 1/2 hours each session Tap into community through a new on-line sharing tool where people help each other, make new friends, and earn hour credits to get services without money. Connect with Skype 2 classes, 2 hours each Learn how easy it is to connect with family and friends for FREE through video chats. These connections can be made from all over the world! The class will teach the basics of SKYPE, as well as how easy it is to voice chat, video chat, and message other users with SKYPE.  Available

Intermediate Facebook 2 classes, 2 hours each class Got a Facebook account but not quite sure what to do with it? This class can show you how to upload pictures, including your profile picture, share items of interest, find groups to join, send private messages, chat and more.  Available
Building the Tyze That Strengthen Community 2 classes, 2 hours each class Tyze provides private, personal, on-line networks that help groups of people connect, care and contribute. Genealogy/Family History 4 classes, 2 hours each class This workshop series will introduce participants to online genealogy sites and to the basics of genealogy. Participants will create an account and begin creating a family tree. They will also receive tips and advice on how to find ancestors online.  Available
